Engine started making an unusual sound while traveling through on a move across the country. Although they were booked up, they listened to the sound and easily diagnosed the problem. I decided to try Ellett's again after a bad experience years ago, and it was another bad experience. I had left my vehicle at there place, and after I mis dialed and left a random message for some one else ( I thought it was Ellett's) and after several days, I called them again, and the front counter lady informed me they didn't have an answering machine service. I asked them if they could take a look and let me know what could be wrong, as it wouldn't start. I wanted them to specifically diagnose the windows that weren't working and let me know what could be wrong with it. No one ever called me back to ask my permission to "fix" the vehicle, and a new battery and oil was put in to a tune of 265 dollars! a Note on the invoice saying windows inoperable! No kidding? Wow! If I was told my battery was bad, a simple thing, I would have told them no worries and saved a hundred dollars getting my own battery installed. I felt extorted for the payment up front, and I begrudgingly paid 225 on the spot. Which was barely enough to get my vehicle back. Since then I have told them my experience, and Dave tells me its all my fault and problem. They have showed up to my work, treating other employees rude at my place of business, with threats of theft of service for not paying the full balance, I never agreed to. If anyone is a thief, its these guys. Don't go here! Who fixes something with normal easy fixes and doesn't confirm with you before doing so?, (which I asked for) and not even addressing the real issue I wanted looked at!!! What a bunch of BS.
I take my car there for everything. My sister took her car to two different shops in town and no one could figure out what was wrong with it. I dropped it off at Ellett's and they had it figured out right away. They didn't have the part on hand but was able to get it that same day! Nice, hardworking, trustworthy people. They are reliable and get the job done right the first time. I recommend them to everyone! There is a reason that they are always so busy! Best place in town!
Elletta automotive was so helpful! I was traveling cross country when my engine light came on and although they were fully booked they made time out of their busy day to check my car and explain to me what was going on and what I needed to do to get it fixed.
