Luckily she passed us on to a different server who was very pleasant and the food was good. Unfortunately we will not be back due to an employee's bigotry and outright rude behavior.
Passing through and stopped here. Amazing burgers. Fresh ingredients. Friendly staff and wasn't as busy as we thought it would be at noon. Awesome!
It is a wonderful clean place all the waiters and waitresses are nice the cook Cooks good I just don't know what to say about it so good
I would love to give this gem a 5 star rating however due to one of the employees, I could only give 3. One of the servers (blonde with a tattoo behind her ear) was very rude when we first entered the restaurant. First I saw her roll her eyes and she grunted at us to sit anywhere. We do and she eventually comes over basically throws the menus at us, causing my wife and I to look at each other in disbelief. At first we thought maybe she was having a bad day, and maybe she was, but I witnessed her being fairly pleasant to multiple other diners. This makes me wonder why she seemed to go out of her way to be rude to us, then it hit me... her looks of disgust at us and unfriendly disposition were because we were a lesbian couple.
Great traditional food! Comfortable relaxed atmosphere. Kind easy going and quick staff. Definitely a good place to go for a good meal!
I stop in North Platte every December while traveling for the holidays, and no matter how late I get in, I always hold my appetite for dinner at Penny's. Delicious food, great diner atmosphere, and a short walk from several hotels. A highlight of my holiday every year.
