I enjoyed living at Sandridge, but the move out process was a nightmare. Here is my situation and a few brief tips so you can avoid the same problems.
Great place to live if u dont want the hassel of up keep on a house. quiet for the most part.
And last, but certainly not lease, move out time. My lease was a string of 3 month lease terms that I renewed 4 times. My lease termination date was October 1st, they asked me to move out a week early so they could rent it, whatever, unprofessional, but I can deal. However, when it came to cleaning requirements, holy cow! Remove light fixtures and place them on counter, buy new 9v batteries for everything, don't clean drip pans, they will just charge you for new ones. haha.
I was charged rent for extra days, cleaning, and “damage” that was already there when I moved in, because they lost the move-in paperwork. Take pictures of the condition of everything when you move in and out. Also, keep photocopies of every document and ask for everything in writing. When you move out, schedule a move out appointment with the manager and have it documented. After working for weeks to prove they had overcharged me, management finally refunded a few hundred dollars from my initial security deposit, but it was a time consuming, unpleasant process. They never refunded the entire amount.
Very Clean, Very Nice Modern Apartments. That are well structured and very queit do to noise cancellation construction when built. I mainly love how respectable this establishment is! Very calm, peaceful, dutiful parking, highly maintained place to live. A little community inside of a community. Nothing but great things to say. Highly recommended if you like your peace, that typically does not come with living in an apartments.
Why wouldn't the office be open on the weekend to accommodate people that work during the week?
Anyways, my security deposit was $400.00.... I sanitized that place, absolutely spotless. It has been about 45 days now since I left and still no security deposit returned. I called to see where that was at and she said that I was charged all of it for cleaning and repairs. They didn't even send me a notice that that had happened. GRRRRR, needless to say, I read all the reviews that it was hard to get your security deposit back, so I did everything I could.....but to no avail. The property management company is from California, so good luck. It is cheaper to buy a house in North Platte than rent from this place............... true statement though - it is the cleanest and newest complex in North Platte, so if that is what you value, this might be the place for you....if you are deaf......and rich.......
I frequently received notices that I owed them money beyond my rent payment, if you get these, you will get a cryptic account summary, review carefully, chances are, their accounting system messed up, not you. Record every payment made to them carefully.
I travel for work quite a bit so I've lived in a number of apartment communities. This was by far the worst place I have ever lived. Sure, it provides a place to stay with a kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. It is an apartment so of course there will be noise, but this noise was unbelievable.
Cheap construction, paper thin walls means that you can hear your neighbors conversations, easily, as well as every footstep, ever person coming or going, every snore, and every baby cry. The parking lot is terrible. If you have a truck, forget about it. I drive a pick-up, F150. It was too big to turn forwards into a spot so I had to back in, but wait, reverse parking was not allowed. Who knows why, but i got multiple tow notices for it.
