My kids had a blast. The volunteers there are fantastic and extremely friendly. We took the stairs to the top its great exercise and a great way to wear down energetic kids.

The railyard is impressive in scale and the guide is very knowledgeable and friendly and willing to talk for hours about the historical and modern uses of this station. They also offer free coffee and allow you to bring it up to the observation deck with you, making it a pleasant stop for a scenic stop on the long drive across Nebraska.
