I am seriously considering seeing a different neologist outside of North Platte. I'm tired of the incompetence and mediocrity I have seen in this office.
One of the nurses, however, has been very kind and helpful after all of this happened. I'd like to give kudos to Susan.
Why would I tell the doctor that I fall down a lot, and he replied that I was fine and shouldn't be falling? And when I contacted "patient advocacy," they, too, said there was no reason for me to fall and I shouldn't have fallen. What? I FELL DOWN! It's on video.
My biggest grievance currently stems from my visit on Dec. 14, 2015. I saw a locum, (Dr. Gollum? Dr. Gotham? Dr. Gandalf?) I told him what I was experiencing; pain, poor balance, falling often, etc. He seemed to ignore some of my problems. He concluded that I was "doing great," that I shouldn't be falling, that everything was "wonderful," and that the pain was not MS related. I did not agree with him, because I know I didn't feel "great." I was dismissed to make an appointment at the front desk. After making my appointment, I began to leave the office. And before I got to the door, bam! I fell down. I was asked if I was ok. I answered sarcastically, "I'm great! The doctor just told me I'm doing wonderful!" I left the office quite angrily.
First of all, they are no longer located on Leota St. If I hadn't called to confirm my appointment, I don't know if I would have found out that they had moved until I showed up at the Leota St. location and discovered that nobody was there. I have seen locums the last few times I've been to the office. I have seen a neurologist in North Platte since 2000. I realize that doctors leave and such, but I'm a "regular customer." I should be able to see the neurologist that's on staff. I feel like I just get passed around and around. My care is not consistent.
